Looking for China, Looking for America:
How images of China have shaped American ideas and vice-versa

In 1980, the Asia Society produced a slide presentation with audio
narration that considered American views of China, and vice-versa, based
on images from newspapers, magazines and movies. The program was shown
by the society's 12 regional China Councils, including the Northwest
China Council.
We invite you to view the complete half-hour presentation, followed
by a discussion of how, 25 years later, American and Chinese perceptions
have or have not changed.
