The Chinese in Eastern Oregon Tour
Friday-Sunday June 16-18, 2006

Join a two and a half day tour to explore Chinese American landmarks
and history in beautiful Eastern Oregon. Leave Friday, June 16 at 10
AM via chartered bus, return Sunday, June 18 around 8 PM.

Friday, June 16: Leave from NW China Council at 10
AM, destination John Day, with a stop at the amazing Thomas
Condon Paleontology Center at the John Day Fossils Beds. Dinner
in John Day or Prairie City.
Saturday, June 17: Visit Kam
Wah Chung and Co. Museum; Ah
Hee Diggings and Chinese Wall in the Wallowa Whitman National Forest,
near Granite. Travel to Baker City. Visit the Chinese Cemetery and the
Old Town city center. Overnight in Baker City.
Sunday, June 18: Visit Oregon Trail Museum in Baker
City before heading to Pendleton for a Pendleton Underground tour. Return
to Portland.
