Chinese New Year with Music From China
The New York City-based ensemble Music From China
will visit Portland to celebrate the Chinese New Year with a concert
of traditional Chinese music. Led by Wang Guowei, a graduate from the
Shanghai Conservatory of Music and former concertmaster of the Shanghai
Traditional Orchestra, the group will perform Chinese classical and
folk music using traditional instruments.
