Northwest China Council Tibet Tour Preview

Join Northwest China Council tour leader Dave Bleyle for a preview of our July 24 - Aug. 8, 2007 “Journey to Tibet” tour. Dave, currently a board member of the China Council, served as a US Foreign Service Officer for 27 years, including three years as Consul General in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. He has traveled extensively in the Tibetan Autonomous Region and the Tibetan areas of Sichuan, Yunnan and Gansu.

Tour stops include Lhasa, Shigatze, Gyantze and Tsedang. and the starkly beautiful scenery of the central Tibetan plateau.

This trip will introduce many of the ideas and tenets of Tibetan Buddhism along with the historical context in which they developed and allow us to gain a better understanding of one of the most unique cultures in the world.

The meeting will also provide an opportunity for you to ask questions about travel in Tibet and about this tour in particular.
