How to Prevent Quality Problems
in Chinese Manufacturing
featuring Michael Bloom, President,
Offshore Solutions, Inc., Beaverton, Oregon
Michael Bloom is President of Offshore Solutions, Inc.,
a manufacturer of custom engineered products in China. Offshore Solutions,
Inc. was founded in 1989 and has offices in Oregon and China.
Michael’s presentation will take the audience from factory auditing
and selection, through risk-avoidance based contracts, methods of monitoring,
and how to respond to the inevitable quality problems. Attendees will
learn whether or not to audit and how to conduct an audit step-by-step.
We will look at proactive ways of saving a factory from its own mistakes.
Finally, we will learn how to define and allocate responsibility before
quality problems arise and how to implement solutions. Attendees will
learn how to save money and valuable time.
Michael holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from City College of the
City University of NY, and a MS in Counselor Education from CW Post
College, Long Island University. He was a teacher for 12 years and a
technical journalist publishing many articles prior to running Offshore
