Keynote Speaker: Jack Elder, is a 1972 U.S. Olympian.
He will speak about his experiences as a member of the US Olympic Team
in Sapporo, as well as the significance of the 2008 Beijing Olympics,
and its role and impact on U.S./China relations. Mr. Elder is currently
serving as Development Director of the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame and
Museum, was formerly Director of Sports and Venues for the 1998 World
Masters Games held here in Portland. He was instrumental in creating
and founding the Oregon Sports Authority, which is dedicated to bidding
for and hosting sport events in Oregon.
An eight-course scrumptious Chinese dinner will also be part of the
evening’s program.
