ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
Dr. Tao Yun is one of the pioneers in China high tech and investment industries. In past 12 years, he has successfully helped US companies enter the China market in communication infrastructure, e-commerce, online entertainment, technology service, financial service and real estate, etc.

Dr. Yun now lives in Portland with his family and is actively providing advice to Chinese and Northwest companies that are interested in each others’ markets. His talk will cover various investment funds and private equity exchanges, the investment strategies and opportunities in China. He will speak from the perspective of someone that has been there and share the real stories he knows.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Dr. Tao Yun is founder and co-founder of multiple high tech startups in China. He was one of the youngest board members among all Chinese public companies in charge of the IT sector of Xiamen Xindeco (Shenzhen Stock Exchange 000701) and was the first Global Governor of Pacific Telecom Council elected from mainland China.

His experience in running companies became the foundation of his later career in investment industry. He has led two restructuring of multinationals in China, introduced a Hollywood online entertainment company into the China market, and has been directly involved in over 50 million USD investment in that area. He was Partner and China General Manager of Chi Capital Group, a Hong Kong based private equity company, before moving to Portland, Oregon in 2007.

Dr. Yun received his B.S. and M.S. from Beijing Agricultural University and his PhD from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
