Acupuncture for Pain Relief

with Laura Santi
ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
Most people live with some kind of pain, whether it's daily chronic pain or an occasional flare up from an old injury. Oriental medicine views pain as stagnation of energy -- or qi -- in the body and aims to balance the qi using tools like acupuncture, herbs and massage. Join us and see how acupuncture can help treat painful conditions and how it may be able to help you. Licensed acupuncturist, Laura Santi, LAc, will provide sample acupuncture treatments and answer questions for interested participants.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Laura Santi, LAc graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture in 1991. She pursued further clinical training in Shanghai, China and attended the Traditional Acupuncture Institute in Maryland to learn 5 Element style. She has been certified to teach Hatha yoga since 1987, studied homeopathy at the New England School of Homeopathy and has practiced Aikido for two years. She maintains a private practice in Portland where she uses both acute and constitutional 5 Element styles of acupuncture. She also supervises interns at the OCOM Acupuncture & Herbal Clinic.
