You are cordially invited to attend a dinner honoring 25 high-ranking Chinese government officials. The delegation is comprised of mayors and vice mayors from cities across China, as well as directors from China’s Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MOHURD), and the Secretary-General and Director of the National Academy for Mayors of China. The objective of the visit is to familiarize China’s urban decision makers with Oregon green building practices and urban sustainable technologies, including energy efficiency and waste to energy processes and introduce them to Oregon firms that export technology, services, and products that satisfy the identified and developing standards for China’s building and municipal infrastructure. This delegation is being sponsored by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). The visit will provide the Chinese delegation with the opportunity to witness best practice applications in Oregon and support the Chinese Mayors Low-Carbon Leadership Program led by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in cooperation with China’s Ministry of Housing, Urban and Rural Development. This Program sponsors a series of trainings held at the National Academy for Mayors of China in Beijing for mayors from around China and covers sustainable urban planning, development and enforcement of energy efficient building codes, distributed renewable energy, electric vehicles, smart grid technology and demand-side-management solutions. The program also supports the city EcoPartnerships established under the US-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue. More info on delegation>> [click here] This event is co-hosted by:
