China Redux:
Music of Chen Yi and Zhou Long
The Third Angle New Music Ensemble will kickoff its twentieth season of
concerts with a return visit from composers Chen Yi and Zhou Long, joined
by acclaimed erhu virtuoso, Wang Gouwei.
In 2002, Third Angle began a serious
exploration of the music of China through the brilliant compositions of
Chen Yiand Zhou Long. Their music is a fascinating fusion of eastern and
western cultures. The program offers two different profiles in musical
personality, each compelling and beautiful. Their will be a post concert
talk with Chen Yi, Zhou Long, and Wang Gouwei
