Want to make being a member of NWCC a more rewarding experience? Want a role in the growth of Portland's premier China-focused business, cultural and language organization? Join one of our committees and take your involvement in China affairs to the next level.

Join one of our committees:

  • Year of the Ox Auction Committee - Help make our 2009 Chinese New Year Dinner Auction a success.
  • China Business Network Committee - The attendees of our monthly speakers program are the leaders in China-related business. We need your suggestions on speakers and programs.
  • Education Outreach Committee - So many universities and colleges have China-related programs.  Help us link to them, find common ground and plan programs
  • Film Committee - Every month a new Chinese-themed film is shown after a banquet dinner. Discussions follow. Help us choose the films and prepare thought-provoking questions.
  • Information Technology Committee - How can we leverage technology to better serve members ? Become a member of our own "NWCC Geek Squad" and help us develop our web presence.
  • Language Committee - Ni hao ma? Help to make the current language program even stronger. We know that Mandarin language skills are crucial in our changing world and we need your help to champion the cause of Chinese language education. Did we mention that you don't have to speak Chinese to join this committee?
  • Membership Committee - We're at 300 members strong and counting! Still lots of individuals and companies who should know us, don't. Help spread the word!
  • Program Committee - Interested in cultural and business events? Here's the committee that brainstorms, chooses good programming, and brings it to fruition. We need your ideas.
  • Publicity - We have a website and a quarterly newsletter that can use your assistance. Help us reach out to other web, print, and broadcast media.
